During the month of August we are offering free sessions for law enforcement officers who show a badge.
WRBL News 3 covered our promotion. Here is the article:
WAVERLY HALL, Ga. – A local shooting range is offering free sessions for law enforcement officers who show a badge. Strongpoint Shooting Complex is trying to target more than just raising the skills of men and women in uniform. The shooting range allows law enforcement officers, as well as anyone else who comes to the range, a more relaxed environment in order to better hone their craft.
Owner Scott Franklin says he gets several hundred people that come to the range per month. They range from gun enthusiasts to police officers to soldiers, and they come from Muscogee, Harris, Talbot and other surrounding counties. During the month of August, Franklin says any law enforcement officer who presents a badge shoots for free. He tells News 3 that the idea came to him after hearing several officers’ positive feedback about boosting their skills in a stress-free zone.

“Well, it’s very important,” Franklin said. “They’re in a very high stress job where they have to make split second decisions that are life-threatening to themselves and others. So the relaxed environments enables them to get muscle memory, more efficient training sometimes. This is in addition to what they currently get at their jobs.”
Franklin adds that the law enforcement officers on site will help teach and train new gun owners. Out on the range, he says it’s not just about bullet, but building bridges with the community.
The range is in the middle of constructing an educational building to teach everyone from beginners to the more experienced like military and law enforcement
