WHAT IS USPSA?
WHAT IS USPSA? Strongpoint Shooting Complex has a USPSA Match on the first Saturday of each month. New competitors are always welcome to participate at Strongpoint. We have a great group of seasoned competitors that are more than willing to help new comers. One thing that sets USPSA apart from other shooting sports is the classification system. You can see where you rank among the best shooters in the world, and track your own improvement as you progress through the system. If you are interested in watching a match before you compete you are welcome to come and watch. The United States Practical Shooting Associations (USPSA) is the premier competitive shooting organization in the world. USPSA membership is your pass to compete in any USPSA or IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation) match anywhere in the world. USPSA membership does not include range or local club membership. In most cases you will be allowed to compete in local matches even if you don't belong to the local organizations. You will discover, though, that there are many advantages to belonging to a club in your area, if for no other reason than the camaraderie that exists among like-minded enthusiasts! What is Steel Challenge?
The Steel Challenge is a speed shooting competition governed by the Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) that consists of eight standardized stages with steel targets, ranging in size from 10" (25 cm) round plates to 18x24" (45x60 cm) square plates. For each run, one hit per target is required, with an unlimited number of rounds. The last target to be shot is known as the "stop plate", which stops the timer. All primary target hits made after the stop plate has been struck, will be scored with a 3 second penalty each. The maximum time permitted for a run is 30 seconds and a competitor will be stopped and asked to reload if they reach the 30 second limit.[5] The steel Challenge site: https://steelchallenge.com/index.php ...
